This should not be taken as an example. Just an absentminded experience I like to tell, a fault-full witnessed to not be emulated.
If you are following the LPDP awardee accounts on social media, you should know about tips-tricks they shared. All the overwhelming efforts and outstanding portofolio surely will be informed. So do I in this words will talk about something I should be done if I were given a second chance.
- I will do IELTS with genuine preparations.
As your information, english was not my second languange, it was fourth. Whats happen when you learn your fourth language to pass the bar. I couldn’t make it, failed two times. I stuck with 6 and 6. It’ll become satanist if I failed third. No one like triple 6, bad luck I guess. The fundamental problem is I used to think that I always had another chance to do the test. Never thought about money. But in the end, I spare my time to learn english in Pare village around 1 month whilst revived the fire in me. You may be bad at something but preparation always helps, either making it better or worst.
2. Peer review is significantly important
There will be a contribution essay to be submitted in the first place. Although it was first task, but your words should be as sharp as sword. It will be the basic discussion in the third stage as a substantial consideration. I wrote mine by myself and revised it many times. The mistakes happened when I did not ask for peer-review with my friends/collegue. The essay became very superficial which only describe the first choice of campus. It wasn’t covering the whole choices which is make it easier to be debated. Worse thing is when I only got the Letter of acceptance from the second choice which would make the substantial process became tougher. So I urge you to kindly ask your friend that capable of reviewing your essay and do the revision.
3. Typo of university choice
I just realized it weeks before the substantial test, and my friend was laughing in mock-up interview. Brain is not braining at that time, I wrote technology university and choose health major. Unconsciously dumbwitted. Therefor my thirs choice can not be used as consideration, it was wrong-typing aka typo. Fortunately I did not include it on my essay. Unfortunately it can be boomerang wuestion for me, just like “How careless you are to have typo on campus name, what would you do to fix (the habit of careless) it? Guess I will just say: I am aware of that mistake so that is why I already have a LoA from the second choice, I’ll make a check list to avoid those mistakes in the future. Moderate answer.
